SAT'S

Students who are planning to take the SATs are encouraged to register online at www.collegeboard.org. The site lists the SAT registration and test dates. Students on free and reduced lunch may be eligible for test fee waivers. Please check in with Guidance.

 



 

SCHOLARSHIPS

Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts: Scholarship and interest free loan http://communityfoundation.org/scholarships/apply Application available online January 1- March 31

American Legion Post 81 Greenfield Scholarship: The applicant will be considered on the basis of demonstrated scholarship, civic participation and leadership. Students must be a graduating senior from Greenfield High School, or an immediate family relative of a Post 81 member in good standing or a present post member. A student must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Priority will be given to family members of veterans.  CoverApplication.

Ron Brown Scholar Program

Prudential Spirit of Community Award

The Prudential Spirit of Community Award is offered to those students who have extensive community service. Apply on-line at www.prudential.com/spirit.

AXA Achievers Scholarship

John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage Essay Contest

The contest is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; U.S. students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories; and U.S. citizens attending schools overseas. GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

Roughly 20 college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership drive, integrity, and citizenship with $10,000.00 renewable scholarships up to $40,000 per recipient will be awarded. For more information and the application go to www.reaganfoundation.org/scholarships.

JCI Senate Scholarship

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. The application is in word format and must be completed in accord with the instructions thereon. Go to http:\\majcisenate.weebly.com for the application and more information.

SAE Engineering Scholarship

Eligibility: High school senior planning to pursue a degree in engineering or a related science. U.S. Citizen. Some limitations on GPA and Testing Scores - outlined on specific scholarships. Go to www.sae.org and click on Students then High School Seniors-for the freshman year in college.

The Washington Crossing Foundation

The WCF is pleased to offer a variety of national and regional college scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 for students completing their 12th or final high school year in 2013 that are planning careers in government service. Please visit the web site: www.gwcf.org.

American MENSA Scholarship

A core value of MENSA is to identify and foster human intelligence. Applicants have until January 15th to write an essay of not more than 550 words explaining their career, academic and/or vocational goals and how they plan to achieve these goals. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) U.S. Scholarship Program

Big Y Scholarships

Submit your application online by February 1st at www.bigy.com. Over 300 scholarships are available. Applications are also available in the guidance department or can be picked up from October through January at all Big Y locations.

ENF Legacy Awards (Elks Scholarship)

Eligible students should apply in the following manner: 1. Visit the Elks website to complete an application. 2. The student must complete the application and return it online to the Elks National Foundation no later than February 1st. Upon receipt of the application, the applicant will receive an email noting that the application was received. Any child, grandchild, (or step children, step grandchildren, or legal ward) of an Elk may be eligible.

Henry David Thoreau Scholarship

The Henry David Thoreau Scholarship offers up to $30,000 to students who will be entering the field of environmental studies. Applications are in the guidance department or online at www.thoreauscholar.org.

Massachusetts Elks Scholarship

Eligible students must be entering a 4 year undergraduate college. Applications are available online at maelks.org The scholarship application is due at the Greenfield Lodge on or before January 15th.

National Commission for Cooperative Education

The scholarship offers 113 merit co-op scholarships for students attending a co-op college. Colleges included are, UMASS Lowell, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Drexel University, Kettering University, University of Toledo, Northeastern University, Johnson & Wales University, University of Cincinnati, Rochester Institute of Technology, Clarkson, State University of New York Oswego, and Merrimack College Complete application on-line at www.co-op.edu.

NFIB Scholarship

Applications may be submitted online at www.NFIB.com beginning October 1st until December 18th. Students are encouraged to apply early. Applicants MUST be running their own small business in order to be considered for an award.

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship offers renewable grants of $3,000 to $10,000 per year. To obtain additional information and to download an application, go to www.phillips-scholarship.org.

The Alpha Sigma Phi Scholarship

University of Massachusetts Amherst-Open to all undergraduate students at UMass. Go to www.massachusetts.edu/scholarships.

Aspiring Fashion Professional Scholarship

This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Interested students can visit this link http://www.fashion-schools.org/ and find the scholarship located at the bottom of the page and click on it.

Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship Program

A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Interested students can visit http://www.animationcareerreview.com/ to find eligibility information along with the online application. The scholarship will be on the right side of the page and click on it.

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship
