351 cities/towns in Massachusetts each elect one 8th grade ambassador to represent his/her city/town and become part of Project 351 because “Project 351 believes that eighth graders have unlimited potential to be remarkable agents of change in their community and our world.”

In order to be chosen as an Ambassador, one must possess kindness, compassion, humility, gratitude, and a dedication to service of the community.  When Ms. Bennett read the application, Ella McDaniel instantly came to mind to be Greenfield’s Ambassador.

On Saturday, January 15, Ella traveled to Boston and joined the other 350 ambassadors at Faneuil Hall for a day of high-impact service, team-building, and networking.  Ella will continue to serve the Town of Greenfield in her role as ambassador and has a clothing drive already planned.  She will be setting up donation bins at Greenfield High School as well as at her church for clothing and shoe donations for all ages that will benefit the Cradles to Crayons charity.
