Food Service district-wide Recipe Contest

The food service department held a district wide recipe contest, which had a deadline of November 15th. The recipe contest was open to whole families and students of Greenfield Public Schools. Families were informed that any submitted recipe would need to be modified in order to meet the school lunch requirements.

GHS student Yavian

Upon review of the recipes, we selected a Greenfield High School eighth grade student named Javian who moved here from Puerto Rico this school year!

His delicious recipe is a Puerto Rican style Chicken Alfredo served with Greek Rice. It features homemade Puerto Rican Sofito! This recipe will be featured on the January 2019 menu. It's called Javian's Chicken Alfredo with Greek Rice. Javian also received a certificate of recognition. - Eliza Calkins, Director of Food & Nutrition Services
