GREENFIELD — When the Discovery School at Four Corners’ first-graders walk through the doors of GVNA HealthCare Inc. each Thursday, they eagerly seek out one particular person: their “grandbuddy.”

GREENFIELD — Federal Street School student Erika Chala German and her family left Puerto Rico four years ago, after a hurricane struck the island. Now, the Greenfield resident and her classmates are doing their part to help Puerto Ricans in the aftermath of a Jan. 7 earthquake.

State law requires the City of Greenfield to distribute the “Conflict of Interest Law” on an annual basis to all Greenfield Public School (GPS) employees. ...
