District News from October 2016

See Hear Feel Film is a ground-breaking visual literacy program for third grade students.  The program was developed by Anne Marie Santoro, an alumna of Sesame Street, at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY.  Students watch short films from around the world, exercise their critical viewing skills and imagination, examine how filmmakers tell stories, and enliven their creative expression and storytelling skills using the tools of the filmmaker.  This curriculum has been successfully used with over 30,000 third grade students since its inception in 2001.

Greenfield High School has entered into a partnership with Global Glimpse, a not-for-profit organization that provides high school students the opportunity to travel the foreign countries as student leaders, learn about local challenges, and make a positive impact on the community members in that part of the world.
