Newton Street student on kidsfit equipment

GREENFIELD — Can a little pedal-power enhance educational outcomes in the classroom? Students and staff at Greenfield’s Newton School are about to find out.

Greenfield Public Schools have been selected to participate in Project Bread’s “Chefs in Schools” program.

The Chefs in Schools program helps school kitchen staff learn to prepare healthy meals that children will eat.

Chef Sam will be working in Greenfield twice a week – working with kitchen staff to create tasty dishes like Maple Glazed Butternut Squash, Chicken Lo Mein, Roasted Garlic & Parmesan Broccoli, Chicken Teriyaki Bowls, and more!

We are excited to announce the arrival of Kidsfit furniture in second grade. The mission of Kidsfit is to change the future for all children, by increasing their health, wellness and education through movement.  Grants from the EOS Foundation, Links to Libraries, Action for Healthy Kids and Expanded Learning Time made this innovative approach to learning possible.
