POSITION: Title I Math Tutors

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Work with small groups of third or fourth grade students before or after school for seven weeks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Background in Mathematics and/or Math teaching
  • Current District Teacher preferred

DATE OF POSITION START: March 22, 2010

SALARY: $20.-$25./hour for teacher/tutor


POSITION: Title I Math Tutoring Program Coordinator

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Oversee scheduling, progress and communications of the Title I Math Tutoring Program

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge in mathematics instruction, standards based instruction, assessment of students’ mathematical understanding, and using data to inform instructional decisions

  • Requires organizational skills

DATE OF POSITION START: As soon as possible or until the position is filled

POSITION DURATION: Through the end of the 2009-2010 school year

SALARY: $25/hour


Position:
Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Greenfield High School Essential Skills/LIFE Program
Flexible hours, to be determined based on student IEP needs

Qualifications: Licensed COTA

Requirements:

  • Ability to discuss student strengths, weaknesses and classroom implications with teachers, parents and administrators
  • Ability to develop, plan, organize and implement therapy, under supervision of OT-R
  • Ability to write reports and implement Individual Education Plans
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with teachers, administrators and parents
  • AAbility to flexibly deliver needed IEP services during program dates
  • AExperience with assistive technology and making accommodations to build independence across all settings

Salary: $22. - $28./hour

Starting Date: As soon as possible after March 14, 2010

Closing Date: Position open until filled


Position: 1.0 Day Custodian (Newton Elementary School)

Qualifications: High School Diploma

Requirements:

  • Excellent attendance record
  • Prior custodial experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to plan activities so as to fulfill the job duties and provide an environment  satisfactory for the operation of the school building
  • Maintain supplies, equipment and storage areas
  • Perform snow removal and spread salt/sand where needed
  • Mechanical aptitude a must
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from the floor to overhead
  • Ability to work well with other custodial/maintenance staff as well as administrators, teachers and staff
  • Flexibility to respond to building needs
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

Salary: Per negotiated contract

Starting date: As soon as possible

Closing date: February 25, 2010


Position: Paraprofessionals
Anticipated openings at all levels to support students with special needs

Qualifications: Associates Degree or college coursework leading to a degree

Requirements:

-Experience in working with SPED students in an educational setting preferred
-Ability to implement individualized program with supervision
-Ability to assist teachers in all aspects of the students day
-Ability to assist teachers in all aspects of student management
-Ability to record data as directed
-Proven ability to work with students and staff in a collegial manner
-Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
-Willingness to be trained in areas of need
