Notification of Food Service Rates

Date:  May 10, 2017

Families of the Greenfield Public Schools,

I hope this message finds you well and excited for the start of a great summer vacation.

In Greenfield, we strive to meet the needs of every family and student. One way of doing this is offering a district-wide universal free breakfast program at all of our schools as well as free lunch offered at those schools participating in the Community Eligibility Provision. We are pleased to continue offering these successful programs without change during the upcoming school year.

However, in order to remain in compliance with federal regulations, the prices for full-priced school lunches will be increasing for the start of School Year 2017-2018. All monies received from school meal sales go directly back into the school meals program to improve menu options and overall operations.

The updated prices for full and reduced-priced school lunches are as follows:

Elementary Lunch Price: $2.75

Middle School Lunch Price: $3.00

High School Lunch Price: $3.25

Reduced Lunch Price: $.40

As always, we encourage any family who may qualify for free or reduced priced meals to fill out a household application, which can be found and printed from the www.gpsk12.org website or you can contact the Food Service Department at any time to request an application be sent to your home.

Thank you,

Madison Walker
